Balmain gold

There are times when a collection in the fashion industry is so strong and characteristic that it is able to set and lead a whole new trend. That was what Balmain did in just three seasons  back from spring/summer 2009 to fall/winter of 2010,  and that inspired the way for many in the world.  All collections were so luxurious, provocative and daring  rock & roll, that they established the Balmain trademark.
We all remember Daria Werbowy, Anja Rubik or Natasha Poly walking as  glamazons  in dresses that  enhanced their long legs, and made it all better with the sharp big shouldered details in every piece.  Do you recall?
Michael Jackson influenced (I believe) , Christophe Decarnin  polished the concept beautifully with a lot of gold, sequins and velvet.
