back in Paris

I'm officially back in Paris for a few weeks until my next trip and since yesterday, thankfully, there's been a really hot and nice weather. Along with the weather, the sales are here, and basically visiting around discovering some stores and cafés always turns my Paris days truly beautiful - in the first photo I actually went into the touristic and famous Bateaux Mouches for a ride along the Seine river.

new hairdo

While I was in Beijing, I took part in one of the most exciting(and challenging) projects/work I've been to. 

This was the new hair and make up (almost no make up actually) they did on me - and for the moment a sneak peek of what I will look like in some of the shoots. I'm so excited to share it soon!

Sometimes the most simple outfits are the ones that define your real mode of expression. 

There's nothing like denim shorts and a simple tee for summer.

Using the print archives from Dolce&Gabbana, and turning them into beautiful floating and silky pieces, made this last collection of D&G a runway to remember. 

 The exact first dress from the runway got on the Chicmuse wish list since last year -and made it to the closet-. I couldn't leave the beach without taking a photo with it, since it was made to wear it there!

This turquoise dress is one of the greatest vintage treasures I own. My YSL collection is now the most valued and appreciated vintage I have acquired through the time. I finally found the perfect location for shooting these pictures!

hot hot hot, let's get hot

 I spent the night watching movies with Ruy at the hotel (3 movies until 4am), woke up late the next day and went down to Viña del Mar, the restaurant where we had the biggest and freshest breakfast buffet everyday -also where I proudly ended by far any moderate diet-. After that, we headed over Cabo San Lucas downtown and took a trip on a boat to an island that marks the lands end (and saw the amazing El Arco). I tried snorkeling there again -still amazed by all the colored maritime fauna- and after having coconut breaded shrimps and mexican ceviche by the pier, we went back to the hotel.

 While the sunset was about to happen and we were listening to "The Beach Party - Hot Chip" remembering some good old songs at the room terrace, I decided to shoot this look by the pool and waited there until the sun went completely down. One of those summer days to remember.

Los Cabos, Mexico

Los Cabos

After 2 flight stops, and one quick arrange of suitcases - now including more sunglasses and swimsuits, I finally landed in Los Cabos, here in Mexico! 

Here you can see me playing Baywatch in a little island I visited yesterday, I went snorkeling, and ate all the fresh seafood I hadn't eaten in the last couple of months. 

My plan today (it's 1 pm here) consists on laying on the beach for a few hours - and a better summer tan, and then swimming the next ones. Breakfast buffet and dinner included. Finally peaceful holidays!

Beijing days

 

Visiting a new city is always a pure rush of excitement for me. Getting to eat traditional food -finally chinese peking duck!-, adapting quick to a new one or 2 week life, and even to hear different music is something I enjoy deeply. Beijing was no exception, and it resulted in the best way to discover China for the first time. A crowded and big and diverse city where I actually learnt how to bargain (came back for the first time with more local souvenirs than clothes), and where our driver the whole trip kept us teaching from everything chinese.

These photos are a glimpse and summary of what I did the last week, including unbelievable chinese sights like the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City, the fresh and early breakfasts at the Opposite House hotel, city views and buildings - like the CCTV square building of chinese tv-, local stores, souvenirs and overall helpful outfits. Hope you enjoy the big compilation!
